ou may already know me as the Bouji Visionary, but my name is really Marcus Styles. I am a Creative Director who specializes in graphic design, web design, and photography. My work is often centered around stories told through a minimalist point of view. Since finding my voice as a Creative Director, I have taken ownership of my talents. I help launch small businesses and produce the content they need to succeed.
In 2013, I felt this surreal feeling I now call my creative awakening. At the time, I was a dance major at the Performing Arts Institute of Minnesota and was tasked with choreographing my first full length dance. The moment I put on my headphones, was when I felt a spark that fueled my entire career. I didn't grow up with anyone artistic to look up to other than celebrities like Beyoncé. Over the years I developed my vision by teaching myself and learning from my creative peers. From the beginning I spent a lot of time limiting myself instead of empowering myself. I never thought I stood a chance or imagined making money off my passion, but everything is different now, because today I am taking ownership of my creativity.
Collaborating with other visionaries is something I strongly value. I have learned the most powerful projects come from collaboration between passionate creatives.
