IF ANYONE CARES
‘If Anyone Cares’ is a weekly podcast started in 2017 by Jandeltha Rae. The purpose of this platform is to address controversial and touchy subjects through a constructive and positive conversation. An urban millennial view on pop culture and touchy subjects. With the perfect balance between comical and intellectual, the goal of “If Anyone Cares” is to give the listener the perfect balance between comedy and serious conversation.

(In her words)
Born to an African-American mother and Liberian father, life has always been interesting. Growing up, I noticed different adversities that affected the people closest to me and knew from a young age that I wanted to make a change and difference in the community around me.
Poetry has always been the silver lining. I wrote my first poem at the age of 6 and I have not stopped since. My parents not only noticed this gift, but provided me with a number of journals to continue my passion. I entered my first poetry contest in the 4th grade and won second place. Since then, I've performed at a number of events; sharing my passion for love, civil rights, and people in poetic form. I'm currently still writing and hoping to perform across the country in major poetry slams. Now at 26, I hold a degree in Criminal Justice from St. Cloud State University. I was a two time President for the Black Student Union (CAAS) at St. Cloud, and I've been involved in a number of different organizations and projects that have helped mold her into the young woman she is today.
I'm everything but quiet about my love for black culture and people. She is completely unapologetic about her roots and molds her work around her blackness. Regardless if that consists of politics, law, education or all three; I have a passion for civil rights and will stop at absolutely nothing to educate and uplift her people.
In August 2017, I started the “If Anyone Cares” in hopes to shed light on political, social, and cultural issues that no one seems to truly care about outside of social media. I believe there is more to these issues than just making a post on Facebook or Instagram. With a love for conversation and intellectually stimulating subjects, my goal with “If Anyone Cares”, is to get people to remember that life exists outside of technology and remind people that human interaction is more important than feeding a phone their opinions.
